How to: Search for a file by the date it was created or modified.
Solution:
In the 'Find: All Files' dialog box, select the drive or folder, and click the 'Date Modified' tab. Make the desired date selections, and click 'Find Now'.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select the 'Find' menu and select 'Files or Folders...'. (The 'Find: All Files' dialog box appears.)
3) To search a drive or folder other than the current root drive, select a drive from the 'Look in' drop-down list box, or click 'Browse...'.
4) Select the 'Include subfolders' check box.
5) Click the 'Date Modified' tab.
6) Select the 'Find all files created or modified' radio button.
7) Do one of the following:
a) To search for dates within a certain time range, select the 'between' radio button, and type the desired dates in the boxes.
Files by date
b) To search for dates within the past so many months, select the first 'during the previous' radio button, and type the number of months back from the current date in the 'month(s)' box.
c) To search for dates within the past so many days, select the second 'during the previous' radio button, and type the number of days back from the current date in the 'day(s)' box.
8) Click 'Find Now'.
